Biography

Anna Wood is an American TV & Movie actress. Anna made her debut with 2009 TV series Cold Case, she is popular for her roles in the TV series "The Code"(2019),  Deception(2013) & Reckless(2014). Role of Jamie Sawyer in "Reckless" is her most popular role. She has also acted in the 2012 Science fiction movie Chronicle, it starred her husband Dane Dehaan in the lead role.

Anna's recent performances include playing Joss in "Unbroken", Diana Richards in "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", Vivian Cahill in "Bull" among others.

Anna Elizabeth Wood was born on 30th December 1985 in Mount Airy, North Carolina, United States to Bert Wood(father) & Mary Beth Wood(Mother) - director of Nursing at Mountain Valley Hospice in Mount Airy, North Carolina [6]. She has an younger sister named Lauren Kathleen wood- Doctor of Biology, Lauren is married to Scott Satterwhite. She has an older  brother named Jarod Wood- a guitar player and Electrical contractor.

Anna Wood and Dane Dehaan got to know each other while studying in the High School, they had been dating since 2006, they got engaged in 2010 and got married on June 30, 2012 at the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia. 

Anna & Dane live in California and New York on and off.

Bowie Rose DeHaan was born On April 2nd 2017 to Anna Wood & Dane Dehaan.

Son

The couple had a son together on 23rd May 2020, they have named him Bert Apollo DeHaan. Anna wrote a lovely note on the birth of her son, welcoming him to the earth.

Career

Anna was part of theater scene in 2004, she acted, directed and produced the play "Out of Gas on Lovers Leap".

Anna made her TV debut in the 10th Episode of Season 1 of comedy drama series "Royal Pains" in 2009, where she played Ana. In the same year she also appeared in an episode(S7.E6) of "Cold Case" where she played Kristi Duren.

In 2010, she played the character of Young Sarah Walker in the series "Brothers and Sisters". She made her movie debut in 2010 in the movie "Nice Guy Johnny". She played the role Claire. She also appeared in a couple of short movies "Delusions of Love: A Case Study in Jealousy and 19th Century Formal Wear" and "The Layla Project" in 2010.

In 2011 she appeared as Elizabeth Axelrod in "Negative Space"

Chronicle

Anna appeared in the 2012 Sci-Fi movie "Chronicle" as Monica, alongside her husband Dane Dehaan (who played Andrew Detmer) and others (Alex Russell, Michael B Jordan, Micael Kelly...) It was written and directed by Josh Trank, and was a clut hit.

She appeared in three TV series- "Mad Men", "NCIS: Los Angeles", "House of Lies" in 2012.

She had a recurring role (Nichile Frishette) in the series Deception. She also appeared in an episode of "It could be worse" and played the role of Dakota in the TV movie Trooper(2013).

Reckless(2014)

Anna played in the main role of "Jamie Sawyer" in the 2014  CBS Legal Drama "Reckless" alongside Cam Gigandet(Roy Rayder), Shawn Hatosy (Terry McCandles), Kim Wayans (Vi Briggs), Michael Gladis (Knox) and others. Jamie Sawyer is a lawyer originally from Chicago. The show was cancelled by CBS after the first season. The series has a healthy 7/10 rating on IMDB.

She played minor roles in "Day One", "Madam Secretary" (as Sarah Eckhart), "The Following" (as Julianna), "The Good Wife" (Kristen Balko).

The Code (2019)

Anna played Captain Maya Dobbin, a veteran Marine and member of the Defense Services Office at Quantico in this CBS military drama created by Craig Sweeny and Craig Turk. Luke Mitchell, Ato Essandoh, Raffi Barsoumian, Phillipa Soo, Dana Delany appeared in other main roles.
