Warren Brown

Biography

Warren Brown is an English actor & Muay Thai style boxer. He is known for playing well known roles such as Donny Maguire in the British comedy series Shameless, Justin Ripley in the BBC crime drama Luther, Andy Holt in channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, Sgt. Thomas McAllister in Strike Back among others.

Hiw recent appearances include- Terry Roberts in Ten Pound Poms, Karl Maguire in Trigger Point, Patrick in Desperate Measures

Warren Martin Brown was born on 11th May 1978 in Warrington, Cheshire to Martin Brown, a truck driver, and Angela Brown, a hairdresser.

Education

• Bewsey School: He attended the Bewsey Bewsey Lodge Primary School in Warrington, England
• Penketh High School: He attended the Penketh High School in Warrington, England
• Salford university: He graduated from the Salford university
• Drama college: He attended drama college in Manchester for once a week. He considers the sets of  Hollyoaks- his first Series to be an extended drama school.

Relationships

Anna Woolhouse

Warren is in relationship with Sky Sports broadcaster Anna Woolhouse, the two have been together at least snce 2023.

Career

Some of the movies Warren has appeared in are- The Dark Knight Rises(2012), Byzantium(2012), Up There(2012).

Some of the TV series he has had recurring roles are- Hollyoaks, Luther, Grownups, X Company, Strike Back, Liar. He has also had small roles in series like- Shameless, Jane Hall, Casualty, Mobile, Casualty, Coming Up, Spooks: Code 9, Dead Set, The Bill, Occupation, Criminal Justice, Single Father, Accused, Moving On, Inside Men, Good Cop, Agatha Christie's Marple, By Any Means.

Muay Thai

His fascination for Muay Thai began at the age of 15, he was very small for his age and wanted to do something about it.

Warren is professionally trained in Muay Thai, he is a 2 time world champion, he is not professionally involved with Muay Thai any more. At the age of 21 he defeated Carlo Barbuto at the WAKO Pro World Title held in Turin, Italy.  He was the youngest English World Champion in Muay Thai.

During his career as a fighter he has broken/ damaged his Leg, Eye, Nose numerous times. 

Once his friend and colleague Idris Elba poked him for a friendly fight knowing Warren is a champion, and threw a punch at him which Warren instinctively blocked with his knee, Idris had to limp for 3 days.

Though a world champion he was working in a warehouse in his home town Warrington for living.

After 10 years of training, competing and teaching in Muay Thai, he is retired and is pursuing career in acting

• Voice artist: He has provided voiceover for roles in videos like Gomez: A True Story and others.
• Music Video: Warren has appeared in the song 'I Remember' with Deadmau5.

• He disliked face photography before becoming an actor.
• He has two pups named- Frankie & Vinnie.
• His move to acting from professional boxing was kind of accidental not intended. One of his friends got him to be an extra for a movie, one thing lead to another finally leading him to act.

• Role Model Army: He has joined the group to help end Stigma on Men's Mental Health Issues.
